Suruchi Sangha in 2011 has been the one of the grandest durga puja pandal in Kolkata. From the last few years Suruchi Sangha has been making pandals based on serious environmental issues. This year too they have struck the right chord by incorporating Kashmir as their theme. Kashmir, ‘Paradise on Earth’, is also facing pollution problems particularly in its valleys. Through this puja pandal Suruchi Sangha want to raise this issue and other environmental issues related to Kashmir. They have shown Kashmir art, culture and tradition in their pandal. The famous Jafri work of Kashmir has been splendidly portrayed in the Pandal. Suruchi Sangha Durga Puja Pandal is located in New Alipore, Kolkata.
